Nana Odoi

Managing Director

Nana Odoi is an expert in international development cooperation with over 20 years of experience in conflict management, peace and security as well as displacement and migration. She holds a degree in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), a Master’s in Conflict Management, and a diploma in Human Rights and Forced Displacement. She has extensive leadership experience in managing complex programmes in fragile contexts – including in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, and Mozambique. In these roles, she managed multi-million-euro portfolios, led international teams, and coordinated the cooperation with multilateral and regional partners such as UNHCR, ECOWAS, the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), and the African Union. Her work is characterised by hands-on experience in implementing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus as well as in political advisory processes involving governments, regional organisations, and civil society actors. A key focus of her work has been the organisational development and change management of institutions in the peace and security sector, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Since May 2025, she has been the Managing Director of FriEnt.
