Nationale Sicherheit im Angesicht der Zeitenwende

Die erste Nationale Sicherheitsstrategie wird mitten im Umbruch, der “Zeitwende”, von der Bundesregierung erarbeitet. Was bedeutet Sicherheit in diesen Zeiten und wie kann Deutschland dazu im In- und Ausland beitragen? Der Info-Hub 49security begleitet diesen Prozess und schafft Raum für vielfältige Stimmen und Meinungen rund um die Nationale Sicherheitsstrategie.

Mit einem breiten Sicherheitsverständnis und diversen Meinungsbeiträgen, Interviews und Streitgesprächen, möchte der Info-Hub 49securityden Entwicklungsprozess der Nationalen Sicherheitsstrategie der Bundesregierung begleiten.

Bereits im Koalitionsvertrag einigten sich die Regierungsparteien darauf, dieses Dokument zu erstellen. Der Krieg in Europa und die damit verbundene Zeitenwende waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt jedoch noch keine Realität. Wie hat diese Entwicklung die Sicherheitsvorstellung und die Rolle Deutschlands die Sicherheit in und außerhalb Europas zu gestalten, verändert?

Neben diesen neuen Fragen, werden sich deutsche und internationale Expert*innen aus Wissenschaft, Zivilgesellschaft und politischer Praxis auch weiteren Fragen widmen, für die die Politik Antworten finden muss: Ein heraufziehender Großmachtkonflikt, gesellschaftliche Polarisierung und eine sich verschärfende Klimakrise.

From Ambition to Inaction: Climate Talks Struggle to Deliver Implementation

The intersessional climate negotiations (SB64) in Bonn concluded with sobering results. Climate justice was a central theme in many discussions and rounds of negotiations, but issues surrounding climate finance prevented an agreement from being reached. Negotiations on the global adaptation target, for example, must start again from scratch. The nexus of climate, peace and security was largely overlooked in the negotiations, as well as in the action agenda presented by the Turkish COP31 Presidency.
