Wie viele der 15 Staaten, die weltweit am stärksten vom Klimawandel betroffen sind, waren in den vergangenen zehn Jahren auch von Gewaltkonflikten und Instabilität geprägt? Im Klima-Quiz des Zivilen Friedensdienstes können Interessierte jetzt ihr Wissen rund um die Zusammenhänge zwischen Klima, Frieden und Konflikt auf die Probe stellen.

Beim Klimaquiz des ZFD stehen acht knifflige Fragen zu Fakten, Forschung und Praxis bereit. Tipps und Quellen zur Beantwortung liefert das Quiz gleich mit. Jetzt das eigene Wissen testen beim Klimaquiz des Zivilen Friedensdienstes.

Seit Juni 2021 betreibt das Konsortium Ziviler Friedensdienst den Themen-Hub „Frieden verbessert das Klima“. Er verdeutlicht die Relevanz Ziviler Konfliktbearbeitung in der Klimakrise. Inzwischen sind rund 30 Beiträge aus Praxis, Wissenschaft und Forschung erschienen. Die neusten stammen aus Sierra Leone und Bolivien. “A conflict is not forgotten, because the headlines move on”

At FriEnt’s latest Forgotten Conflicts series discussion, held on 26 August in Berlin, experts and practitioners from Nigeria and Germany explored the drivers and consequences of violence in the country’s Northwest and Middle Belt. The discussion challenged narratives that portray the violence primarily as a religious conflict and highlighted the need to address climate stress, land scarcity, governance gaps and the erosion of livelihoods, while strengthening locally rooted approaches to peacebuilding.
