In der achteiligen Sonderserie des Warpods geht es um die Konflikte, die als Reaktion auf 9/11 entstanden sind, um die rechtlichen und sicherheitspolitischen Reformen und die Auswirkungen auf Politik und Kultur.

Zum 20sten Jahrestag von 9/11bringt die Sonderserie des Warpods, ‘Reckoning with 9/11’, Experten aus aller Welt zusammen, um über die globalen Auswirkungen des 11. Septembers nachzudenken. Dabei geht es um die Konflikte, die als Reaktion entstanden sind, die rechtlichen und sicherheitspolitischen Reformen, die das Leben der Menschen und die Gesellschaft verändert haben, und die Auswirkungen auf Politik und Kultur. Die Reihe läuft wöchentlich jeden Donnerstag noch bis zum 28. Oktober 2021.

From Ambition to Inaction: Climate Talks Struggle to Deliver Implementation

The intersessional climate negotiations (SB64) in Bonn concluded with sobering results. Climate justice was a central theme in many discussions and rounds of negotiations, but issues surrounding climate finance prevented an agreement from being reached. Negotiations on the global adaptation target, for example, must start again from scratch. The nexus of climate, peace and security was largely overlooked in the negotiations, as well as in the action agenda presented by the Turkish COP31 Presidency.
