FriEnt together with the Berghof Foundation and the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) co-organised a dialogue event on “the challenges and opportunities of providing remedies for the loss and damage that climate change is causing”.

The trail of devastation that climate change is causing not only poses a vital threat to those affected most. It is a crucial “matter of justice, considering that societies facing the worst impacts of climate change often bear the least responsibility for historical greenhouse gas emissions”.

“Providing remedies for the loss and damage that climate change is causing” offers opportunities and represents challenges – both of which were discussed in the recent dialogue event in the framework of the Global Learning Hub for Transitional Justice and Reconciliation.

Find a report of the dialogue and a full video recording of the event on the website of the Berghof Foundation.
