FriEnt welcomes two new colleagues: Lisa Anke, in her role as event manager, is responsible for the implementation of the FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum (PBF), and Katrin Schomaker heads communications at the Working Group.
Lisa Anke is looking forward to the PBF. “I am particularly looking forward to meeting inspiring people at the Peacebuilding Forum in September who are committed to creating a more peaceful world,” she said. Katrin Schomaker will be responsible for FriEnt’s public relations. “Making the work of FriEnt visible and raising awareness for the issues of peace and development is a great new challenge,” said the communications consultant.
Lisa Anke has been working for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) since 2022, including the Development Policy Forum, and has extensive experience in dialogue-oriented formats and the preparation of complex development policy issues, including at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Parliament and the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF). She studied International Studies/Peace and Conflict Research at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Katrin Schomaker has more than 20 years of professional experience in strategic communication across both the public and the private sectors, including roles at the European Commission, the United Nations, and GIZ. She also oversaw the organisation of high-ranking political events during Germany’s G7 Presidency in 2022.
