Hosted by FriEnt (Working Group on Peace and Development), the biennial forum convenes stakeholders from government, civil society, and international organisations across the so-called Global South and North. As a multi-actor network, FriEnt connects perspectives from policymakers, practitioners, and civil society, fostering dialogue across sectors and regions. The seventh edition of the FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum – The Future of Peacebuilding: Pathways for a Changing World – takes place from 15 to 17 September 2026 in Berlin and centers on a key question: how peacebuilding must evolve in an increasingly fragmented and complex world.
“At a time when global attention is on defense and rearmament, the FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum holds its ground, focusing on what it takes to build just, lasting, and sustainable peace in a world of growing complexity and disorder. What is the future of peacebuilding, what could new pathways look like, and who needs to be part of shaping them? These are some of the questions that will drive our discussions in Berlin,” says Nana Odoi, Managing Director of FriEnt.
The three-day programme combines high-level dialogue, thematic sessions, and interactive formats, addressing issues such as peace economies, youth leadership, climate action, and the role of emerging technologies in peacebuilding.
The event is by invitation only, and invited guests will receive the full agenda and registration link in advance.
